Terenure  College  R.F.C.  launched  its  rugby  Academy on October 25th 2006. Those
selected  will  be  given  specailist  and  quality  input  over  the next  three  years  to  enhance  
their  physical and  rugby  development. These  players  will  be  involved  in  5-6  sessions  per  week .
Sessions are conducted under the direction of Kevin West, Terenure College RFC 1stXv Coach,
Former Ireland, Leinster and Munster Hooker James Blaney, Terenure College RFC conditioning coach
Dermot Blaney (former Leinster and Ireland schools captain) and Ireland International Girvan Dempsey

In 2007 Ireland international Girvan Dempsey was appointed as Patron of the Academy.

It  is  envisaged  that  more  players  may  be  added
during  the  course  of  this  season.

Kevin O'Dwyer was one of the players of the season. Kevin came from a GAA background and
had played little rugby when he joined the club - this year he managed to make the 2nd row
